Description
Cheetah Running 3D Model with Walk and Run Cycles
A production-ready cheetah running 3D model with looping walk and run cycles, built for close-ups and long takes. The CAT rig carries both gaits tuned to cheetah anatomy, alongside standing, sitting and signature poses, and the short coat is groomed with 3ds Max Hair and Fur. Final images rendered with Arnold, no post-work.
Rigging and Animation
- CAT-based rig with IK/FK controls for fast posing and retargeting.
- Looping run and walk cycles, plus T-pose, standing, sitting and signature poses.
- Layered animation system for non-destructive tweaks — head aim, eyelids, jaw, mouth open and close.
- Stable deformation through shoulders, hips and spine for athletic turns and sprints.
Hair and Fur
- Short-coat groom tuned to cheetah anatomy, including the tear-line markings.
- Density, length and root-thickness masks for art-directable clumping and silhouette control.
- Built for offline rendering in 3ds Max and Arnold — the base mesh, textures and rig export to FBX and OBJ, but the groom itself is render-only.
Textures (8K)
- Body: 8K albedo and bump; 4K gloss, specular, ambient occlusion and normal.
- Fur: 8K colour, density and root thickness.
- Eyes: 8K diffuse. Mouth: 2K diffuse.
- Customisable palette and fur masks for alternative coat looks.
